I wish I were a good singer.

=>All most people want to be good singer.
not exclusion me!

I wish I could sleep all day long.

=>Every day when I wake up.
I feel very tired and just want sleep
but I must go school with tired body

Form=I wish +(that) + subject + past tense of verb

I think "wish" is more earnester word than "want".

So people use this word about impossible thing.

A-rong, your post really made me ponder something. Compare two sentences about the same thing, one with wish and the other with want. Do they sound different? In what ways? :)
I wish I could speak English fluently.
I want to speak English fluently.
