What's your favorite midnight snack?

Postby Inha(11)KangEunKoo » Wed Apr 25, 2007 1:02 pm

Midnight snack is not good for keeping your body slim. But it is really sweet too. :D
Let me introduce one of my favorite midnight snacks. It's name is "curry-noodle"
We need two things for enjoy the curry-noodle.
The first is instant noodle(ra-myun). Any brand is all right. But I recommend the "An-Sung-Tang-Myun".
The second is 3-minute-curry. Made by ottogi. get it?

Let's start. Heat up the curry and boil your noodle.(only noodle, not the powder soup)
When the noodle boild enough, get it out from the pot and make it showered with cold water. It will makes your noodle more fresh(?). And then, remove the moisture from your noodle.
The Last, mix the curry and the noodle. That's it! Isn't it sweet?

My favorite midnight snack is definitely pizza! :D I think that is true for the whole college culture in the United States. :) We love our pizza, hehe :D The curry-noodle sounds nice too, but I don't think I've ever had that before. :)

I love noodle, too.

Sometimes, I cook instant noodle in other way.

This recipe is known as BBo Geuli. (funny name!)

If you know how to make it, maybe you were korean soldier.

I tell you how to make it (this recipe is very simple).

First, you boil water. In the meantime, open a instant noodle bag and

cut noodle half. After that put in soup powder, boiling water. Finnaly,

waiting for 3 to 5 minutes for well-cooked.

Objectively, it's poor delicious. Nevertheless, I usually cook it because

it's very easy and not needed to clean dish.

I like noodle very very much.
There is noodle which I enjoy in summer.
This noodle Name is' BiBimMyeon '.

I tell you how to make it.
first, boil the water, and When the noodle boild enough, get it out from the pot and make it showered with cold water or ice water. (This is similar to a way to be made from curry ramen.) And put sauce in noodle, and rub so as to mix together well.
Finally, raise a boiled egg and slice cucumber and a carrot on noodle.

This noodle will be nice and delicious to eat in summer and midnight.

I like instant noodle too. But sometimes I panfry the instant noodle.

Most people called it is ra-myeon-ttang. I think that it has very good taste

so it is suitable to midnight snack too.

The recipe is very simple. Therefore it's appropriate for midnight's snack.

First of all, you have to grind up many small pieces. and heat oil.

If you want sweet thing, put sugar in the pan.

Finally you roast the pieces brown. That's all.

Try to cook(?) ra-myeon-ttang. it's so simple but delicious.

I'm sure, it will be good midnight snack too.

Fried Chicken and a Beer

Postby Jerome » Sat May 12, 2007 5:19 pm

Many Koreans love midnight snacks and what I think the best midnight snack is a fried chicken and a beer. Fried chicken and a beer are fantastic combination, loved by people of various age. It is somewhat expensive compare to other midnight snacks, but as long as you don't eat midnight snack everyday, it will be wise to choose what I recommend you by spending little more of your money.

I never really ate midnight snacks before coming to Korea. If I ever did, they were very light snacks, per se chicken salad, grilled cheese, hotpocket, etc. My midnight snack in Korea has been very heavy and unhealthy. I would study at the library until 2am then I would go eat too wee gim (튀김). The ones here at HUFS close early so there were times where my friends and I would walk all the way to Hoo Wae Gi (회기) just to eat them. But if i'm home and i'm feeling lazy, i'll just walk to the store in front of my house and buy bread and milk. :)

Midnight Snack

Postby Huizhen-hufs » Sun May 27, 2007 1:16 pm

I really like eating snacks at anytime. My friends told me that I'm awlays eating something.
In the daytime, I usually eat cookies, rice cake (especially bar rice cake), bagel and so on. The problem happens at night. Eating at night is very hamful for health and it disturbs sleeping well. But I can't stop eating. I can't bear hunger. So the solution which I found is drinking hot milk. I tried several times, and it works good. Sometime drinking hot milk isn't enough to reduce my hunger, I order a fried chicken with my sister. :P

I also enjoy having noodle for midnight snack. I would like to try 'curry-noodle' for my midnight snack. However, I enjoy having 'BiBimMyeon' as someone wrote a reply above. The recipe is quite easy and simple.
First, boil water, then put noodle in boiled water. Next, when noodle is boiled enough, put the noodle in cold water and make it cold. Then, remove the water and put sauce on the noodle. Finally, mix them and enjoy.
It's really cool unlike other instant noodles. The weather is getting hot, isn't it? How about having cold 'BiBimMyeon'?

I like to eat at midnight too.

My favorite midnight snack(??) is beer with toasted and seasoned laver.

I eat it with watching movie two or three days a week.

So I have grown fat.

Now, I have to exercise to control my weight properly.

But I can't quit to eat at midnight.

Because I like it very much.
