subsidize verb
If a government or other organization subsidizes something, it pays part of the cost of it, so that prices are reduced.
Ex. We have a subsidized restaurant at work.
subsidized adjective
I got this from Cambridge dictionary. http://dictionary.cambridge.org/
1. What economics can tell us about traffic congestion
More important than subsidized public transport fees is providing a more convenient service by extending subway lines, frequencies of trains and operating times as well as providing park and ride facilities for longer distance commuters.

- This means it is more important to have better transport services than to assist public transport fees financially which means the government pays part of fees to lower the cost.

2. The 'working poor' scam By Thomas Sowell
In a country with free education available through high school and heavily subsidized state colleges and universities, why do some people lack skills and training?

- This means government supports financially a lot in education to lower the fees of state colleges and universities.

Susidized programs are good for dose who are looking for the support of the government .but it is not good for dose who feel that it is the government responsibility to take care of them and cann't have no say so in there private lives .subsidized programs are estabish to help people help themselves get on there feet and move on in life not to become depended on the government .exspecially for those who are strugging with finances .is the real purpose of susidized programs .
