committee

Post by Cho Seok-Cheol »

I found the meaning of 'committee' on my dictionary. It says 'A committee is a group of people who meet to make decisions or plans for a larger group or organization that they represent.'

The Basel Committee was established at the end of 1974 comprising of members from Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. www.bis.org

-> This committee was established in 1974. And its members are from many countries around the world.

For the past 20 years, the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) has worked to expose what we believe to be the systemic and widespread problem of abusive and unethical recruitment practices. www.afsc.org

-> This committee have tried to get rid of bad customs of recruitment for US armed forces.
