As in the advanced countries, housing policies change in tune with modern developments. This is very much true in the UAE also. The oil rich emirates in the gulf are always savvy with newer technologies and innovations. They do not hesitate to go the extra mile to get the best from any part of the globe. Consider the recent policy initiatives announced by the government in the UAE. The government is now taking the role of a facilitator and offering all sorts of incentives to the infrastructure developers.
The fiscal concessions help the infrastructure developers to generate more profits. The rules and regulations that are periodically revised have ensured that everyone is having access to the best housing amenities. While ‘housing for all’ is still a pipe dream in many of the third world countries, it is a cakewalk for the UAE government. People with any income can now boast of a roof over their head.
Whenever targets have been set to achieve a particular limit in built up space, most often these targets were exceeded way ahead of the deadline. Millions of square feet in built up space is being offered for sale and the number of housing units is going up with each passing year.
The cost of a flat for sale depends on whether it is a luxury apartment, a flat with medium amenities or a flat with just the minimum of accessories. People with small and marginal incomes always prefer flats and apartments with minimum living spaces.
