I have ever seen to thumb a ride. When I was young, my father have given a certain family a ride.

A driver stopped the car and ask me whether you need a ride or not even though I did not thumb a ride.

My family once had picked up a man thumbing a ride. Soon after he got off of our car, we all regreted to get him in. The seat was soiled with his muddy shoes and dirty clothes.

In Korea is not common to thumb a ride.

I have never experienced such a situation to thumb a ride. I've only seen it in movies. So, I thought this act is romantic but dangerous.

According to the news reports, much of crimes occur because of hitchhiking. So few people thumb a ride nowadays.
