John Terry left empty-handed as Wayne Bridge gives him cold shoulder

It could have been two children on a school playing field. One was happy to shake hands and be friends, the other still bore a grudge. This was John Terry and Wayne Bridge yesterday.

They lined up against each other for the first time since the revelations that Terry had had an affair with Bridge's former partner and mother of his child.

As part of the Premier League's fair play campaign, players from each team are expected to shake hands with their opponents before the kick-off, but yesterday Bridge, the Manchester City player, just could not do it.

Obama leaves Asia empty-handed

South Korea, the final leg of US President Obama’s Asian trip, was no more successful that his other stops. In Japan, Singapore and China, Obama failed to secure any significant economic concessions and came under fire for growing US protectionism. In South Korea on Thursday, he made no advance with an equally uncompromising South Korean President Lee Myung-bak toward a free-trade deal between the two countries–a major item on the agenda.

Jake didn’t expect to leave the carnival empty-handed. He was sure he would win at least one prize.

It was White day when men have to give women a candy, but my father was empty-handed. So my mother was little bit angry. But they look so lovely because they still want each other even though they are getting old.
