Reply culture.

Post by Inha(28)SimJaeHwan » Sat Oct 20, 2007 12:23 pm

Reply culture is generalized in Korea.

Because Internet is spread all around Korea.

If you write your opinion in Internet, there will be many reply about your opinion.

There is many good reply what make your opinion expansible.

We have acquired our own space in which we can freely express our own idea without any oppression or restriction.

In this side, reply culture is a very good culture.

But, reply culture also have a weak point.

That is bad use of anonymity!!

Infringement of human right in the internet bulletin board making the bad use of anonymity and formation of false public opinion has become a social issue.

Especially, speaking ill of specific politicians or stars is terrible.

We have to have a honest reply culture.

Bad side of reply culture.

Post by Inha(906)LeeDongHun » Wed Jan 16, 2008 3:56 pm

Of course, i know that reply culture is a very good culture.

But, I just say about the bad side of reply culture.

It started just a joke. It's funny. After the read, everybody laugh away.

Next reply is slander. Half of people laugh, half of people get anger.

Last reply is another story. Nobody knows that 'Why the reply is here?'.

Then, writer's opinion and story is ignored.

It's the bad side of reply culture.

Anonymity is double-edged blade.
It can protect one's privacy, but it can give a mask named villain also.
So we need the name of netiquette, the internet etiquette.
Netiquette is consideration.

If we can keep peaceful reply culture, we must comply the netiquette.

In korea, I think that the Reply culture is very important. We express our opinion through reply system and through these process we can insist our rights. In this side, it can be called good culture. But someone can use the anonymity system for evil purposes. It is a matter. Because of this abuse, someone hurt from reply and finally suicide. I this side, it is just bad culture. So I sugget that if people can keep the etiquette and think other person one more time before post their reply, it can be a good culture.
