Hello everybody. Recently we discussed the role of English in the world today. We took a look at Kachru's circles and discussed World Englishes. For your fourth ODB assignment, which is due 10/28 (11:59pm), you should take a look at Carla Power's Newsweek article Not the Queen's English (in the PDF Files provided) and discuss the following questions. Remember to compose 1 new topic and 2 replies to your classmates. It's always a good idea to personalize--give examples from your own personal experience learning and teaching English.
