English come to change.

Post by hyunsoo jung » Fri Oct 28, 2011 6:03 am

English is a foreign; language and you need to know foreign languages only to the extent that your lifestyle requires interaction with foreigners and foreign cultures. In most cases, one doesn't have to be a true bilingualism or multilingualism. In fact, English is now spoken fluently by more non-native speakers than native speakers throughout the world. In the United Sates only, there are more than 20 million non-native English speakers. As the world adopts an international brand of English, it’s native speaker who have the most to lose. Cambridge insists on speaking the Queen’s English could be ignored.

Is it because the native english speaker doesn't have to learn another language and is therefore at a communication disadvantage?
